This painting transports us to the era of the Indian Airlines Caravelle Sud-210, an aircraft from a more elegant era in Indian aviation.
Kept intentionally minimal, I primarily focussed on its form, proportion, and presence rather than surface detail.
Not many people today are aware of this livery, which looked absolutely stunning, especially on aircraft like the DC-3 and the Sud Aviation Caravelle, flying routes such as Bombay-Ahmedabad.
Made as a one-of-one work, it reflects a time when flying in India carried a quiet sense of class and quality.
